The Mission of Work Zone Safe

For every new teen driver to know there is a face and family behind every flag, cone, and flashing light as they learn to confidently navigate work zones and share the road with first responders.

Recognize and reward new teen drivers for being work zone and move over safe.

We offer free, online training for teen drivers on how to safely share the road with roadside crews and first responders.

Rewards for FCCLA Students and Advisors

✅ FCCLA Students:
Complete the free Work Zone Safe course and enter into a monthly drawing for a $500 educational scholarship — exclusively for FCCLA members!

✅ FCCLA Chapter Advisors:
When your students complete the course, you’ll be entered into a monthly drawing for a $50 gift card as a thank-you for promoting leadership and road safety in your chapter!

How to Get Started

It takes a classroom period to complete, making integrating into FCCLA chapter activities, classroom lessons, or personal leadership development goals easy.

• Students should complete the Work Zone Safe course specific to their state, or if one is not yet available, complete the National Work Zone Safe Course.

• Advisors, once your students have completed the course, contact Linda Terrell, and she will enter you into the monthly $50 gift card.

Work Zone Safe is free, online, self-paced, and available 24/7.
